My next challenge will be on 11/23-24/24 in Philadelphia, PA where I will be attempting to complete the "Liberty Bell Challenge" which includes a half marathon on Saturday and a full Marathon on Sunday! This will be my biggest challenge since completing Cancer treatment for Lymphoma in August 2024. I will be running in support of a lifesaving animal rescue organization with a 100 year plus history, the Morris Animal Refuge!

Marathon Animal Rescue was founded by marathon runner and rescue animal lover, Richard Albanese, in 2014. Richard resides in Northern Illinois where Marathon Animal Rescue is based. Richard has a goal of completing a marathon race in each of the 50 States. The mission of Marathon Animal Rescue is to raise awareness and provide financial support to certified no-kill, non-profit animal rescue shelters in each of the 50 United States on a one time basis when each marathon is completed. Marathon Animal Rescue is a IRS approved 501(c)(3) charity meaning all donations are tax deductible.
