My next challenge will be to complete the Chattanooga 50 mile event! The race starts in the Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia and ends in Chattanooga Tennessee. I will be running in support the You Lucky Dog and Angels Among Us Pet Rescues of North Georgia that rescue dogs and cats from North Georgia High Kill Shelters and place pets in foster and adoptive homes
Marathon Animal Rescue was founded by marathon runner and rescue animal lover, Richard Albanese, in 2014. Richard resides in Northern Illinois where Marathon Animal Rescue is based. Richard has a goal of completing a marathon race in each of the 50 States. The mission of Marathon Animal Rescue is to raise awareness and provide financial support to certified no-kill, non-profit animal rescue shelters in each of the 50 United States on a one time basis when each marathon is completed. Marathon Animal Rescue is a IRS approved 501(c)(3) charity meaning all donations are tax deductible.
