My next challenge will be to complete the Chattanooga 50 mile event! The race starts in the Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia and ends in Chattanooga Tennessee. I will be running in support the Lucky Dog Rescue and Sanctuary in Rising Fawn, Georgia that not only promotes Adoptions but is a safehaven for larger dogs that are not adopted.
The Marathon Animal Rescue Georgia Campaign marks my 35th state to complete a marathon or ultramarathon distance. As the Chattanooga 50 Starts in Georgia on March 7, 2020 and ends in Tennessee I am electing to count this 50 mile race as my Georgia event.
My goal is to personally donate and raise a minimum of $500 for the Lucky Dog Ranch and Sanctuary located in Rising Fawn, GA
Although donations are always welcome and appreciated this campaign goal has been met from multiple donors and my own contributions from the Facebook Giving Tuesday campaign in November 2019. Any additional donations received will carry forward to our future campaigns.

Welcome to the Marathon Animal Rescue GEORGIA CAMPAIGN! In an effort to raise greater awareness and financial support for no-kill rescues I am continuing to select more challenging events in each state to hopefully inspire positive change!
My name is Rick Albanese and I am a ultramarathon runner with a goal of running a marathon or ultramarathon in all 50 States and making financial contributions to specially selected non-profit, no-kill animal rescues and sanctuaries in each State I visit across the country.
I began this charity as a Rescue Dog owner and strong advocate for adoption of all animals through no-kill rescue organizations. I have rescued 3 dogs myself and grew up with many more rescue dogs in my family as well. I will kick off the charity campaign with my own pledge donation of $4 per mile X 50 miles for this ultramarathon distance and totaling $200 with a minimum goal of raising at least $500.
After careful consideration and research I have selected the Lucky Dog Ranch and Sanctuary of Georgia.
Thsee non-profit, no-kill rescue organization
makes an unwavering commitment to rescuing larger dog breeds for adoption or permanent no kill sanctuary if they are not adopted. This organization provides shelter, veterinary care and makes adoption efforts to place rescue animals in forever homes.
As always ALL DONOR CONTACT INFORMATION IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
